SOUTH DEERFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Yesterday Newell Brands, owner of Yankee Candle, announced the South Deerfield distribution center would be consolidating operations on September 9th. The company is reducing the number of employees working at the distribution center, which will remain open.
The announcement also said there would be no changes to other Yankee Candle operations in western Massachusetts.
Newell Brands announced in January that the South Deerfield distribution operation would be closing sometime this year, a year after significant layoffs at the Deerfield corporate offices as part of Newell Brands “consolidation and optimization efforts.”
