CHARLEMONT, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — No injuries were reported in a mobile home fire on Zoar Road in Charlemont Wednesday morning. Charlemont Fire Chief Dennis Annear said crews arrived on scene at about 8:40 a.m.
“There was smoke coming out from underneath the mobile home,” said Annear. “It turned out to be heat tape that they had used to keep the pipes from freezing.”
Annear said the home lost power due to electrical system damage. According to Annear, an electrician will make the necessary repairs, and the home will be inspected on Thursday.
Crews from the Charlemont, Colrain, and Shelburne Falls fire departments all responded to the scene.
