No Massachusetts Car Inspections Until At Least Tuesday Or Possibly Later

(undated) — No car inspections again today in Massachusetts. The Registry of Motor Vehicles says inspections will not be held today or tomorrow and possibly longer as Applus Technologies works to repair a computer hack that forced a nationwide shutdown of the car inspection system. Applus is currently in the first phase of a three-phase process to address the problem. The RMV says police departments have been notified of the problem, and the 60-day retest requirement and free retests initiated during the COVID pandemic will be extended during this time
