GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — 39 year old Melissa Repka, of North Adams, has pleaded guilty in Greenfield District Court to motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation on Tuesday. Repka was driving east on Route 2 in Charlemont on April 12th, 2023 when she made a U-turn and fatally struck motorcyclist Gregory Herzig, of Colrain.
Repka was sentenced to two and a half years jail time, 9 months of which will be served and the remainder to be suspended while she is on probation for two years; and her license to be revoked for fifteen years.
