(Northampton, MA) — Northampton city leaders appear ready to support an effort to decriminalize certain psychedelic drugs. The Northampton City Council has given initial approval to a resolution that would prevent Northampton departments and agencies from assisting in the prosecution of people found in possession of psychedelics. The resolution also supports two pieces of state legislation, one of which would establish a task force to study the matter further.
