(Northampton, MA) – Northampton inaugurates a new mayor today. Mayor-elect and current City Council President Gina Louise Sciarra will take the oath along with members of the city council at a 10am ceremony at the Northampton Academy of Music. The public will be able to access the live stream of the 10am ceremony, but will not be allowed into the venue, which will be restricted to 25 percent capacity and be composed only of family and acquaintances of those being sworn in, because of concerns over COVID 19.
