(Northfield, MA) — The town of Northfield has a new acting police chief. Northfield Police Sergeant Alexander Pirozhkov will take over the job July 8th replacing outgoing Chief Robert Leighton, who is retiring. A search committee is being formed to search for Leighton’s full-time replacement.
