(Northfield, MA) At the Northfield Special Town Meeting Wednesday night, residents voted against one article seeking to transfer sums totaling approximately $762,000 in funding for a new Emergency Services Building. Voters instead favored a second article for the same purposes but in the amount of $500,000. A third article pertaining to the purchase of a property for emergency services was also turned down, with residents citing concerns about the location. 

A Northfield Special Town Meeting is set for next Wednesday, June 28th at 6:30 p.m. at Pioneer Valley Regional School where residents will be voting on six articles. The town is looking to fund a new Emergency Services Building, purchase a Highway Department Debris Truck, and updating a bylaw on committee membership. To find the full meeting warrant, click here.
