(Amherst, MA) Yesterday at UMAss, a racist email was sent out to Black student groups, individual Black students, and a UMass office. The Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan released a statement on the issue saying “there is an effort to use misinformation as a weapon to provoke fear and mistrust” and that he believes “the UMass community is far stronger and smarter than the writers of this email seem to think.” The NWDA along with the UMass Police Department are conducting a thorough investigation on the matter.
