(Amherst, MA) — The region’s chief criminal prosecutor says his office takes seriously the sexual assault allegations which have been leveled at a UMass-Amherst fraternity. Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan said his office will vigorously prosecute any sexual assault cases which are reported. Hundreds of UMass students gathered outside Theta Chi fraternity this week after a person wrote on a social media site that they were drugged and sexually assaulted while at the Amherst fraternity house. So far, no official report of an attack has been filed with police or the university.
