(Greenfield, MA) — Another veteran Greenfield Police officer is retiring. Officer William Trueswell said goodbye Monday after 26 years on the Greenfield police force. Trueswell was noted by colleagues for his calm demeanor and ability to deescalate difficult situations. A small ceremony honoring Trueswell was held in the Greenfield Police Department parking lot on his last day before retirement.
