(Turners Falls, MA) *Update* The brush fire off of West Camp Road and Industrial Boulevard was extinguished by 12:30 p.m. on Monday. At 10:15 a.m. the Turners Falls Fire Department received a report of smoke in the area and visible from the Connecticut River. When they arrived on scene they found a two acre brush fire threatening a business on Industrial Boulevard.
With mutual aid, the fire was under control by 11:40 a.m. and extinguished by 12:30 p.m. No injuries or damages were reported. The fire was found to be caused by electrical lines in the area.
Mutual aid was provided by Bernardston, Montague, Greenfield, Erving, Gill, South Deerfield, Northfield, and Orange Fire Departments as well as Montague Police, Shelburne Control, and Montague Dispatch.

There is an active brush fire off of Industrial Boulevard in Turners Falls as of 10:45 am on Monday, May 9th. Turners Falls Fire Department is on scene along with mutual aid from multiple surrounding town fire departments. The Turners Falls Fire Department is asking people to avoid the area for the time being, if possible.
