Operator Of Abandoned And Crashed Motorcycle Located Eight Hours Later

(Shutesbury, MA) An abandoned motorcycle caused some concern Saturday night when a male operator reportedly crashed on Route 202 in Shutesbury. When Massachusetts State Troopers arrived at the scene, the operator could not be located. A registration was located and troopers were able to learn the identity and residence of the operator. Upon checking the residence and with family and friends, the operator still could not be located. State Police Air Wing and a State Police K9 team assisted with the search. At 4:30am Sunday morning, the 30 year old Athol man was located 1.5 miles south of Prescott Road. He was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by Amherst Fire. No charges have been filed.
