(Orange, MA) The Orange Board of Health has confirmed 17 positive COVID-19 cases in the town, 12 of whom are in isolation. There has been one death, two recoveries, and two hospitalizations. Happily, 63 individuals have tested negative for COVID-19.

“It comes with a heavy heart that yesterday the first COVID-19 related death was reported in Orange, MA,” said the Orange Board of Health in a recent statement. “During this time of grieving the community must continue to rally against the virus,” the statement went on.

The board of health advises that residents should wear eye protection, face masks, and gloves when entering a public facility. Additionally, residents should continue social distancing measures by maintaining a six food distance between other individuals.
