(Orange, MA) — A State of Emergency remains in effect in the town of Orange. The declaration was made early Sunday morning after heavy rains overnight Saturday caused streams and brooks to overflow and force a number of road closures. Some roads, like Royalston and Mill Yard Road, have reopened, but town and state officials are continuing to monitor the situation especially as it relates to a number of dams in the area. More rain is expected during the week, which could cause additional flooding problems in Orange and other communities.
