Orange Fire Department Awarded Grants For Equipment

(Orange, MA) The Orange Fire Department has recently received two grants for purchasing new equipment. They have been awarded $2,700 in an Emergency Management Performance Grant for replacing their alkaline batteries, some hand tools, and batteries for their thermal imagers. A second award from the Massachusetts Firefighter Safety Grant in the amount of $15,500 will be used to purchase eight sets of ballistic gear, two sets of breaching tools, two electric vehicle emergency plugs, and an electric vehicle fire blanket.
