ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Orange Fire Department has started a new senior safety initiative. Anyone aged 65 or older in Orange can have a lock box installed free of charge to store spare house keys in and the dispatch center will keep a record of the code to allow emergency personnel into the home in the case of an emergency.

Six seniors have already joined the program and more can sign up by emailing OrangeMAsafe@gmail.com or calling the station at 978-544-3145. The Department requests you provide your name, address and phone number to be contacted during the next round of installations.
