(Orange, MA) The Orange Police Department has investigated a threat against Ralph C. Mahar Regional School that would take place tomorrow, March 1st. The threat was ultimately deemed not credible by the police department and the school will continue with their normal schedule.

Ralph C. Mahar Regional School Principal Scott Hamlin sent a letter out to parents and guardians of the school in which he says, “This afternoon, a student at the school became aware of the threat to the school via social media. The student then reported the threat to her guardian who in turn notified the Orange Police Department. The Orange Police Department immediately conducted an investigation an determined that the threat made against the school is not of a credible nature.”

Hamlin also said the school administration would be following up with their own investigation and the “imperative” mindset of “See something, Say something.”
