ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Town of Orange has been approved for a grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life to help ensure a secure and reliable 2024 election.

“Until Congress approves regular, ongoing federal funding to help offset the cost of running federal elections, this grant will help make the 2024 elections more reliable and secure for Orange voters so that all voters can trust the election process and be confident their vote is counted,” said Town Clerk, Nancy M. Blackmer.

The money will be used to purchase equipment and upgrade computers, as well as for security upgrades for the office and building.

The town received a similar grant for the 2020 election.
