NORTHFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Several area emergency responder units were called to a reported passenger train derailment in Northfield Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Northfield Police Department, the slow moving passenger train was disabled, but still on the tracks and upright. There were no injuries reported and no roads were closed.
The train company, Amtrak, arranged alternate transportation for the passengers.
