(Franklin County, MA) In a January 3rd meeting, the Six Town Regionalization Planning Board voted to draft an agreement that would lay out plans for the merging of the Pioneer Valley Regional Schools and the Gill-Montague School Districts. If the six towns merge, provided all six towns vote to approver the mergers, middle schoolers would attend Pioneer, while high schoolers would go to Turners Falls High School, leaving Elementary students in their community schools. If the towns approve the merger, which may take until 2025 to finalize, a transition plan may be implemented over the course of two years.
