(Montague, MA) — An advisory committee studying the potential merger of the Pioneer Regional and Gill-Montague school districts is expected to issue a final report this summer. The Committee was formed in 2019, and is expected to recommend that Pioneer and Turners Falls high school be realigned with one serving as a high school and the other a middle school. The elementary schools in each district would remain unchanged. The committee also has a series of subcommittees which are examining all potential aspects of such a merger.
