(Greenfield, MA) A chase down 91N that began on the Deerfield line ended in Brattleboro Vermont after the suspect initially fled Massachusetts State Troopers. A Massachusetts State Police spokesman said the pursuit began at approximately 10:23am Friday morning when a trooper attempted to stop an Infinity with Maine license plates for a turn signal violation and a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle increased speeds beyond 80mph and although stop sticks were deployed, the vehicle was able to exit via exit 43 into Greenfield, where Greenfield Police picked up the pursuit. Greenfield Police chased the vehicle into Bernardston and into Vermont, where Vermont State Police chased the suspect who had bailed out of the vehicle. Montague Police provided a K-9 unit who positively identified the suspect and who has been charged. The exact charges filed against the operator and the identity of the operator are unknown at this time.
