(Combined Sources) Northampton Police responded quickly to a report of a shooting on the Smith College campus yesterday. Just after 2PM, officers responded to the intersection of West Street and Belmont Avenue after receiving a call from a person that reportedly had a firearm at a residence and would shoot anyone who entered. After a quick investigation, it was determined that the call was a false report. Police have not announced whether there will be charges filed.
