(Greenfield, MA) Today Mayor Roxann Wedegartner joined Franklin County Pride to raise the Pride Flag on the Greenfield Town Common. Wedegartner also declared June 2020 to be pride month in the City of Greenfield. President Bill Clinton declared June to be Gay & Lesbian Pride Month in commemoration of the Stonewall Uprising in lower Manhattan June of 1969. June 2009 President Obama expanded the designation to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgender Pride Month.
