MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) –In the FirstLight relicensing application process for the Connecticut River hydroelectric trip dam and facilities, FirstLight has now filed their application for 401 Water Quality Certification. Two virtual public hearings will be held on the water quality certification on May 29th, at 1:30 pm and 7 pm and written comment swill be accepted until June 3rd. 

FirstLight Power has filed its application for a 401 Water Quality Certification (WQC) with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protections (MassDEP). The WQC application is available here: https://www.northfield-relicensing.com/401-wqc-documents….
MassDEP will conduct two public hearings on the WQC application for members of the public to comment orally on the WQC application as part of the official record. Registration is required in advance via the links below:
