READSBORO, VT (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Nine mutual aid fire departments responded to a 1st alarm chimney fire in Readsboro, Vermont. Crews from Colrain and Rowe were among the support on scene and arriving crews found smoke visible from the chimney. Working quickly to determine if the fire had spread to the residence, the fire was brought under control within 45 minutes.
