(Northampton, MA) — More calls to abolish the police department in Northampton. A rally this weekend in Pulaski Park featured a number of members of the “Abolition Now” movement, an organization which favors shifting funding away from police departments and toward groups in need. Organizers say they plan to lobby city officials on a daily and weekly basis and ask them to alter their budgets to shift money away from the department.
