GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Legislature is currently in the midst of an informal session, which State Representative Paul Mark said could still produce action on several key initiatives.
“We could still do that climate bill, we could still do the health care bill,” said Mark. “The one thing that has to happen in a formal session–and I still feel good from everything I’m hearing that we are going to do (a formal session) hopefully sooner than later– is the economic bond bill, because a bond bill needs a recorded roll call vote.”
Mark said for a state that is heavily dependent on the knowledge, health care, and tech sectors, the pressure is on to get the bill done and passed onto Governor Maura Healey. Healey has said she wants to see the bill on her desk as soon as possible.
