MEDFORD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A new report from the Tufts university Center for State Policy Analysis highlights the connectivity and funding issues across the state’s regional transit authorities. The report calls for increased state and federal funding for regional transit and incentivizing service expansions.
Next week, the Senate will discuss the FY25 budget, which proposes eliminating fares for all RTA rides, which contributes just 14% of the funding for RTA.
