(Boston, MA) After a year of extreme weather events, the state has released a hazard mitigation plan called ResilientMass. Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency Director Dawn Brantley said the plan will help the state “withstand, rapidly recover from, adapt to, and mitigate natural hazard events.” Some of the 142 actions the plan details include evaluating flood resilient construction standards in building code and developing a new heat flag system.
