COLRAIN, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Colrain community is mourning the loss of retired firefighter Richard Walsh after a battle with cancer. Walsh served in the Colrain fire department from 1997 to October of 2020 and acted as the fire inspector during his time there. Walsh’s fire fighting career including working with the departments of Windsor and Newington, Connecticut where he also served as the Fire Marshal.
