Retired Massachusetts State Police Detective Captain Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

(Amherst, MA) Attorney General Maura Healey’s office announced Friday the arrest of Francis Hart, age 60, retired detective captain with the Massachusetts State Police living in Amherst. Hart was arrested Thursday on allegations of possession of child pornography. Hart was released on $2,500 bail and plead not guilty. The investigation began in January after a tip from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding images allegedly uploaded to Hart’s computer.
