ERVING, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — MassDOT is expected to begin work resurfacing a section of Route 2 in Erving by the beginning of April. The work will take place east of old State Road through Farley and Erving Center for a length of 3.65 miles between mile markers 60.25 to 63.9. While construction is underway, detail officers will be on scene assisting travelers through the project area.
MassDOT has required the contractor to install messaging boards in advance of the project area to inform motorists of anticipated start dates and potential delays. The Town of Erving added “We understand that this type of work can be disruptive and frustrating. Patience and cooperation are appreciated during this time.”
