ROWE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The town of Rowe has released their final Open Space and Recreation Plan that will provide a framework for decisions relate to land use, natural system, and lands through 2031.
The Seven-Year Action Plan documents current natural, recreational, and cultural resources of the town and identifies priorities for protecting, maintaining, or improving them, particularly in the face of the changes anticipated with climate change.
In the Plan, the action steps serve to prioritize the following goals:
GOAL A. Protect ecosystem integrity and ecosystem services to build climate resilience
GOAL B. Enhance recreational and cultural opportunities
GOAL C. Create the organizational and educational framework for achieving the goals of the open space and recreation plan
