GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Amy Proietti, Greenfield School Committee member and former chair, announced her resignation, effective March 13th. Proietti’s resignation was announced at a school committee meeting Monday after serving on the committee since 2020 and having just won another four year term in November’s election.
Proietti served on the committee and in various subcommittees through the COVID-19 pandemic and the hiring of two superintendents.
According to the city charter, the committee is tasked with filling the vacancy until the next city biennial election to be held in November 2025. Registered voters in Greenfield can apply for the position by sending a resume and letter of interest to current School Committee Chair Glenn Johnson-Mussad at glejoh1@gpsk12.org. Applicants may give a statement at the upcoming committee meeting on April 10th or be interviewed by the committee.
