GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Although Massachusetts voters were able to eliminate MCAS as a statewide graduation requirement in November’s election, schools will still be administering the test for accountability measures and districts are determining how to set new graduation requirements with some considering continuing to use MCAS as the benchmark. The Greenfield School Committee voted on Wednesday to use core subject class grades, requiring students to earn at least a D- to graduate.
