School Mask Mandate Set To Expire In Massachusetts

(Boston, MA) The Massachusetts statewide school mask mandate is set to expire on February 28^th. The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has said it expects to have an update regarding the mandate before the end of the month. Yesterday, the governors of Connecticut and New Jersey announced they would be lifting school mask mandates in the next 30 days. Currently in Massachusetts, a school can bypass the mask mandate if over 80% of its population is vaccinated. There are no schools in Franklin County that have reached that threshold.
