(Colrain, MA) Just before 5 p.m. Thursday evening, Colrain and other area fire departments reported to 38 Ed Clark Road in Colrain for a structure fire. A second alarm was struck and brought in aid from Leyden, Erving, Greenfield, Shelburne, Charlemont, Buckland, and Halifax, Vermont.
The homeowners and their two children were able to evacuate their home without injury. It is unknown if the house can be repaired or if it is a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
