(Boston, MA) Proposed legislation from Senator Jo Comerford and Representative James O’Day seeking to allow consenting residents with terminal illness aid in dying by allowing them to obtain medication for a “peaceful death.” Previously, voters rejected a ballot to allow physician to prescribe the medication in 2012, however this legislation, the End of Life Options bill is supported by Governor Maura Healey and has had a favorable report from committee last session.
