BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Wednesday of last week, the Senate passed the Mass Ready Act which will create a new Quabbin Host Community Trust Fund giving $50,000 annually for each watershed town and a new board to represent the host communities. It will also create a new commission on flood risk and resilience in the Connecticut River Valley with $60 million for flood mitigation projects.
