(Franklin County, MA) – This weekend’s flooding resulted in several Franklin County towns experiencing washout conditions from area rivers. Rowe Road in Charlemont was washed out from the rain in the area and had to be closed. Floods in Orange have closed Tully Road from Creamery Hill, Royalston Road is closed at Mill Yard Road, Oxbow Road is a washout and not passable, and East River Street is flooded at Pinecrest and traffic is one way. In Millers Falls, power had to be cut and evacuations issued because of flooded basements. In Greenfield, Nash’s Mill Road is closed, and repairs will need to be made to the Green River Swimming and Recreation area to repair flood damage.
