Serious Route 2 accident sends one patient to trauma center

ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — One individual ended up in a trauma center Wednesday afternoon after what authorities called a “serious” motor vehicle collision on Route 2 in Orange. State Police and Orange Fire were on scene at approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday for the accident just prior to Exit 71 on Route 2 westbound and the patient was transported to Athol Hospital where a LifeStar medical helicopter met them to transfer to a trauma center.
