WHATELY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Several towns saw trees and wires down Friday morning as a result of strong winds and rain that came through overnight.
A tree on a power line in Whately caught fire and with quick response from Eversource, the scene was cleared and power restored within fifteen minutes.
Maxam Road in Colrain and Orange Road in Warwick were also temporarily closed Friday morning due to trees down.
