HATFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A shed and all its contents at Smith Academy are a total loss after lightning struck, causing a fire. The Hatfield Fire Department responded to reports of the fire and protected an adjacent electrical shed housing well pumps and a commercial field mower. No injuries were reported.
