Shelburne Accident Closes Route 2, Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital With Serious Injuries

(Shelburne, MA) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Route 2 in Shelburne Thursday afternoon. It happened at the intersection of Route 2 and Cemetery Road and forced the temporary closure of Route 2 while the accident scene was cleared. It reopened at around 1:15pm. The unidentified motorcyclist was taken by Life Flight helicopter to an area hospital for treatment. No one in the car was hurt. The accident remains under investigation.
