(Shelburne, MA) – A 45 year old Shelburne Falls woman is dead after being struck by a car while walking along Route 2 in Shelburne. It happened at around 6:30 Tuesday morning. The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office said a 51 year old Northampton man has been arrested in connection with the crash. The names of the victim and defendant have not yet been released. The accident is under investigation by State Police reconstruction teams, and the Chief Medical Examiner is working to determine the exact cause of death.
