Shelburne Route 2 Accident Kills Motorcyclist From Savoy

(Shelburne Falls, MA) – The motorcyclist involved in Thursday’s car versus motorcycle accident on Route 2 in Shelburne has died from his injuries. State Police say 68-year-old Robert Labonte of Savoy was riding his motorcycle near Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters at around 12:30pm when he collided with the rear of a car making a turn. Labonte was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at around 2pm. No citations or charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
