SHELBURNE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — At Tuesday’s Shelburne Town Meeting, residents approved the purchase of LED streetlights, saving the town thousands in electricity costs. The town is now working on a Green Communities Grant to help offset the purchasing costs, along with the Mass Save Incentive grant the town has already secured.

Also at Tuesday’s meting, voters approved 911 upgrades at the elementary school and at Mohawk Regional School. The upgrades will allow police to know which classroom called 911 in the event of an emergency.
