(Holyoke, MA) On Wednesday, July 29 at approximately 6:00pm Holyoke Police Department responded to the Holyoke Mall upon reports of two females fighting. On arrival, the two females were gone. About 10 minutes later, Holyoke Police Department received reports of shots fired and later it was determined that the shooting probably occurred at the roadway on Holyoke Street near the intersection with Lower Westfield Road. A male victim was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he passed away from his injuries. A nineteen year old male suspect turned himself in to the Holyoke Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
